The Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency is pleased to present the following workshops for writers, for both the aspirant and the professional.

How To Craft An Eye-Catching Query Letter

Get an agent's attention by learning to write irresistible query letters. The do's and don't's to master if you want to get your foot in the door and have your work read. Writers may bring in their own query letters for individual critique during the workshop.

How To Write A Non-Fiction Book Proposal

Create a proposal that will sell. Writers will be taken step-by-step through the proposal writing process and may bring in their own proposals to work on during the class.

Writing Children's Picture Books

Learn both the basics and the finer points of writing for the very young. Writers are encouraged to bring in their own manuscripts for instruction and evaluation.

Two Minutes-Two Pages

When a writer sends a manuscript to an agent or an editor, they only have two minutes to make a great impression. The first two pages of each writer's manuscript will be read before the class and evaluated and critiqued in class. Learn how to put your best foot forward and keep agents and editors reading.

Please call 212-481-8484 x309 for details. Since classes are kept small to ensure personal attention for every participant, they fill up quickly, so please book ahead.
